“Angels for Life” ready for promoting organ donation in schools and communities
after completing the slogan challenge
Hong Kong Organ Transplant Foundation (HKOTF) launches the “Angels for Life” Program this year to nurture secondary school students as “Angels for Life” to join the force of organ donation promotion.
Phase I of the Program, the “Organ Donation – Love and Life” Slogan Competition attracted overwhelming response of over 5,000 entries from secondary schools. To recognize the outstanding performance of award-winning and shortlisted students (56 students in total) The Prize-giving Ceremony was held on the Organ Donation Day on 11 November 2017 (Sat).
The Ceremony was followed by a Training Session, in which HKOTF’s Founder & Founding President Dr Kelvin K. L. Ho and recipient’s & donor’s family member Ms So explained knowledge and importance of organ donation, representative from the Education Bureau shared on qualities of leadership, and Miss Wong from the CMA Secondary School provided guidance on proposal writing.
Phase II of the Program has commenced – award-winning and shortlisted students in each school are invited to form a team with their fellow schoolmates to promote organ donation in schools or communities .
