The Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation of Hong Kong Polytechnic University launched the “SoInno Design Education” Program in July 2018. The program introduces social innovation and design thinking into secondary school education. It aims to nurture students to integrate knowledge from different subjects through solving real-world problems. HKOTF was invited to be the supporting organization of the project to facilitate 16 students from St. Antonius Girls’ College to learn about organ donation. We arranged sharing session between students of St. Antonius Girls’ College, organ donor and recipients and a visit to the Eye Bank of Hospital Authority. After that, students designed coffee cup sleeve to promote organ donation and they were sold at a charity sale in APM mall. The school donated part of the proceeds to HKOTF as support to our work.

The students of St. Antonius Girls’ College visited Hospital Authority Eye Bank under the guidance of Ms. Catherine Wong, the manager of Eye Bank.

HKOTF arranged sharing between students of St. Antonius Girls’ College, organ donor and recipients to help students understand the changes in organ recipients’ life after receiving transplantation and the meaning of organ donation.

Students sold the coffee cup sleeves at charity sale in APM mall to promote organ donation.

A part of the proceeds from selling coffee cup sleeves was donated to HKOTF.
