HKOTF was invited by Vita Green Charitable Foundation as a supporting organization of the Vita Green Cycling for Health Marathon Challenge 2019, with a view to promoting the spirit of selfless love in organ donation and soliciting public support. Three cycling teams represented HKOTF to participate in the group race and 9 organ recipients and medical professionals participated in the “Public” group ride to cycle for health.

Dr. Helen Chan, the President of Vita Green Charitable Foundation,  Mr. Hung Chung-yam, the renowned cyclist in Hong Kong and the Vice President of event committee, Dr. Kelvin Ho, the President of HKOTF, Ms. Teresa Mo, the Ambassador of the event,  Mr. Chan Chun-hing, the former member of Hong Kong Team in participating in Olympic mountain biking, attended the press conference on 28 Nov 2018 to call for support of the public to cycle for health and charity.

On the event day (24 Feb 2019), HKOTF set up a booth to promote organ donation through interactive games. 

HKOTF cycling team was interviewed by HK01 on 19 Jan 2019. The team wanted to show the public how an organ recipient could resume his/her normal life after organ transplant through exercises. 

A group of 9, including Mr. Eliot Li, Honorary Secretary of HKOTF, organ recipients and medical practitioners, took part in the “Public” group ride.

The HKOTF team won the Champion in the “Non-profit Organization” group race.
