In 2017/18, HKOTF has continued its effort in organizing different activities to raise public awareness and knowledge towards organ donation.  The 2017/18 Annual Report has set out the work of HKOTF in this period of time. It is available on our website for inspection.

The first “Angels for Life” Program was launched in 2017/18. Under this program, secondary school students have acted as “Angels for Life” to help promote organ donation through organizing activities in schools and the community.

HKOTF also started the Oral History Project of Organ Donation and Transplant in Hong Kong in collaboration with Department of History of Hong Kong Baptist University, Heep Yunn School, Queen Elizabeth School and Wa Ying College. 18 interviewees were invited to share their stories, with a view to exploring the meaning of organ donation and enabling the public a better understanding of the subject.

It was the first time that HKOTF participated in the 30 km Ride of Hong Kong Cyclothon organized by Hong Kong Tourism Board with liver transplant patients. HKOTF hopes that it will help promote organ donation when more people understand how organ transplant could help bring a new life to patients.
