The “Organ Donation for You and Me” Tram Body Design Competition organized by Hong Kong Organ Transplant Foundation for all secondary school students in Hong Kong commenced in September 2022. The competition is fully supported by Hong Kong Tramways, tramplus, Department of Health, Rotary Club of Hong Kong Northwest and Bentley Communications Limited. HKOTF hopes that through the design competition, students can increase their knowledge and awareness on organ donation. On the other hand, the Champion design will be painted onto a tram for advertisement along the streets of Hong Kong Island to promote organ donation to the general public.
The design competition was successfully completed in May 2023. The Foundation held an awards ceremony at Saint Barnabas’ Society and Home on 6 May 2023, and Dr. Lee Ha Yun, Libby, Under Secretary for Health, was invited as guest of honor to commend the winners for their excellent performance.
On the same day, the Under Secretary for Health, together with other honorable guests officiated the launching of the Organ Donation Tram Promotion Campaign at Whitty Street Tram Depot!
