With the full support of Windsor, HKOTF set up an organ donation promotion and registration booth from 07 to 15 Sep 2019 in the basement of the shopping mall. On 7-8 Sep, staff from the Department of Health came to help take registration on-site.
HKOTF set up organ donation promotion and registration booth in the basement of Windsor to invite public to register on-site.
A group of volunteers of HKOTF and staff from Department of Health participated in the promotional activity. They invited people to participate in games and register as organ donor.
Ms. Laurinda Ho and Mrs. Lau Chan Hoi-wan visited the booth to support organ donation. Laurinda registered as organ donor at the booth and appealed for public support on organ donation by filming a clip.
Since Dec 2019, HKOTF received full support from Chinese Estates Holdings to place organ donation posters at all their 6 shopping malls, namely The ONE, Windsor House, Silvercord, Causeway Place, Excelsior Plaza (LAFORET), and Wanchai Computer Centre. That allowed people to logon readily to the “Centralised Organ Donation Register” of Department of Health using their mobile phone and register as an organ donor.
