HKOTF participated actively in different types of community activities to help promulgate the message of organ donation to different sectors in the society. In recent years, HKOTF organized workshops at District Health Centre/Centre Express to enhance public awareness on organ donation.
Ms. Luk Pou-keng, a kidney recipient, shared with the participants how she faced her illness positively at a workshop at Central and Western District Health Centre Express.
As invited by Sha Tin District Health Centre Express, HKOTF explained the common myths on organ donation to the participants.
HKOTF invited lung recipient Mr. Tang Yiu-tat to share his experiences before and after lung transplantation at a workshop at Tuen Mun District Health Centre.
In addition to explaining the knowledge about organ donation, HKOTF invited a professional nurse to share tips on kidney health at Sai Kung District Health Centre Express. Participants showed great interest to the topic.
