Dr. Kelvin Ho formed a team of cyclists, including organ donors and recipients, medical practitioners, and amateur cyclists, and participated in the 30km ride of Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon in 2017 and 2018.  He hoped to take the opportunity to  promulgate positive message of how organ transplant could help bring a new life to patients suffering from organ failure. The organ recipients also shared their own stories to help raise public concern on the subject.

A team of over 20, including organ donors and recipients, medical practitioners, and amateur cyclists, participated in the 30km ride on 14 Oct 2018, to promulgate the message of a new life after organ transplantation.

On the day of HK Cyclothon (14 Oct 2018), Dr. Peter Lam, the then-Chairman of Hong Kong Tourism Board; Mr. Anthony Lau, the then-Executive Director of Hong Kong Tourism Board; and Mr. Lincoln Yu, the Vice-President of HKOTF attended the send-off party to support the organ recipients.

HKOTF participated in  Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon in 2017 for the first time. Apart from competing against other contestants, our cycling team also hoped to promote organ donation through the event.

On 8 Oct 2017, Dr. Ho and two organ recipients, Mr. Mui Ying Chuen and Mr. Tse Wing Chiu, participated in the HK Cyclothon for the first time.
